Facilities

The School is organized into sections according to the different year groups. Each section has a building with enough classrooms for each class and for the various divisions according to the optional subjects or language levels.

All Retamar classrooms are equipped with a computer and electronic blackboard and most of them have the necessary equipment to broadcast the classes over the internet.

The School has a library with more than 50,000 volumes; three laboratories: Chemistry, Physics and Natural Sciences; four multimedia classrooms; two computer rooms and a complete psychomotor classroom for students in the first years of school who need it.

In the most recent building, you can find the oratory (with 700 seats) and the auditorium (with 450 seats).

We also have a number of sports facilities: these include an artificial grass football field (97 m x 56 m); three 7-a-side football fields with artificial turf; a 333 m athletics track, with a sand pit and hurdles; two roller hockey rinks; six cement sports courts; four padel tennis courts; and two tennis courts. In addition, there is a covered sports hall capable of hosting three simultaneous basketball games. In the covered sports hall there is also a tatami area for judo. Finally, the School has an indoor pool of 25m.

There are four dining rooms of various sizes, enough for the daily lunch of students, teachers and employees.

For the little ones, next to the entrance of the School, there is a playground.

The spaces for break times - with more than 300 different plant species, conveniently catalogued also for didactic use - are complemented by a picnic area for use by students and their families on weekends.

A few years ago a small shrine was built at the entrance of the School and dedicated to an image of the Virgin, which had been housed in the old Retamar oratory, to which thousands of former Retamar students are devoted.

In this link you can see a photo album of the School.

The Class from 2017 (XLV) gave the School a model of Retamar with its appearance after the Fiftieth Anniversary. The photos of this model, which can be seen here, show the facilities of the School very well.
